Awesome Turkey Burger Recipe

You Have To Try This Awesome Turkey Burger Recipe !!

What’s the Best Kind of Turkey for Turkey Burger ? Ground turkey is typically much leaner than ground beef. In order to keep the burger from being too dry it helps to use ground dark meat from thighs and legs if you can get it. Adding a little olive oil to the mix helps, too. As for flavor, ground turkey on its own just isn’t as flavorful as ground beef, even if you use ground dark meat. But jazzed up with some chopped fresh herbs, a little onion, and garlic? The result is AWESOME! So lets get to making us an herbed turkey burger !

Great Way To Grill Chicken Breasts

Monday, August 12, 2019 Food  No comments

When it comes to grilling chicken, breasts can be a problem for some, especially boneless skinless chicken breasts on the grill. The meat itself is lean, and without the bones to insulate it or skin to protect it, that naked breast on the grill has a tendency to easily overcook and dry out.

Great Way To Grill Chicken Breasts

One method is to marinate chicken cutlets, or chicken breasts pounded to an even thickness, and quickly grill them on high heat. We use this method for our  cilantro lime chicken and it works fine.

 Solution (Brine!)

Another way, which doesn’t require you to change the shape of the chicken breasts, is to brine the chicken first.grilled chicken

All it takes is 30 minutes in a simple brine solution of 1/4 cup kosher salt dissolved in 4 cups water...

Simple Grilled Salmon ?

                                    Simple Grilled Salmon

I always see someone asking about smoking or grilling salmon, So I figured I would share this easy and simple grilled salmon.

1 Make the marinade: With the typical brine being three elements – sugar, salt and water and most being equal parts sugar and salt, I use a quarter cup salt to one third cup sugar to four cups liquid. The liquid being water, soy sauce and a dry, white wine here. Feel free to use low sodium soy sauce or adjust to less for your taste. Combine marinade or “brine” ingredients in a bowl. If sugar is an ingredient in the marinade you are using, stir until the sugar is completely dissolved, same goes with the salt...

What do you usually think of when you think of fajitas? Steak or Chicken ? Well Today we are going to try something else.

LET’S MAKE DELICIOUS FAJITAS IN A SKILLET !

It’s all in the seasoning for these fajitas! Toss shrimp in some chili powder and red pepper flakes, and then quickly cook them in a skillet with some veggies. Better-than-restaurant quality fajitas are yours in no time! You can do this indoors or outdoors on your grill. I like using my pellet grill or my weber kettle grill

WHAT KIND OF SHRIMP FOR FAJITAS?

I have no idea how they size shrimp. There are large shrimp that seem medium compared to other shrimp in the store. I’ve never really seen small shrimp, so I’m not sure who is making this scale.

Anyway, for fajitas, I like large shrimp, which usually come 31-35 shrim...

Time To Smoke Us A Beef Brisket

Monday, April 22, 2019 Food  One comment

It’s time to smoke us a Beef Brisket. This is a pretty popular cut of meat that people love to smoke. I am always seeing someone posting about cooking one in the smoker or on the grill. There are so many different ways people are cooking them these days. The brisket is essential in two parts the point and the flat, The point has more fat and the flat has more meat. The brisket has a grain, the point runs a different direction and most don’t notice this causing an issue with slicing the brisket. Look at the meat before cooking and when you are finished and you will notice.I wouldn’t worry about cutting the meat until you are finished cooking it, unless you would rather separate and cook separately, maybe making burnt ends with part of it like with the point.beef brisket

I decided to give this l...

Digital Water Proof Thermometer

Monday, February 4, 2019 Technology  No comments

I picked up another tool to add to my cooking Arsenal. I grabbed this waterproof thermometer  off of Amazon after reading reviews, it seemed like a good choice. If you are like me you want to make sure all the meat you cook on your grill or in your smoker or even on your stove or in the oven cook to the proper internal temp. These are great when making steaks and you have people wanting their steaks cooked rare, med rare, or well done, with this a quick stick and you will know what your temp is in a blink of an eye.

I have been wanting something else I could use along side of my other temperature probes I use to monitor internal temps of the meat...
