What’s the Best Kind of Turkey for Turkey Burger ? Ground turkey is typically much leaner than ground beef. In order to keep the burger from being too dry it helps to use ground dark meat from thighs and legs if you can get it. Adding a little olive oil to the mix helps, too. As for flavor, ground turkey on its own just isn’t as flavorful as ground beef, even if you use ground dark meat. But jazzed up with some chopped fresh herbs, a little onion, and garlic? This soup my beautiful wife came up with after we always ordered a similar soup from a restaurant. At first she made it just like the original recipe or what she thought it could be. Through many changes this recipe is the best one to date. In order to share this we had to measure out the ingredients because she doesn’t cook by measurements. So you can add or subtract ingredients to your desires. Once you make it you can change it to make it the way you like it. She has made it with potatoes instead of beans, Chicken broth instead of Beef. It really is just a basic recipe that can be changed in accordance to your own personal preferences. It’s that time of year again Chili time! I have found a new way of making my famous Chili, I decided to give my pellet grill a go and I put my hamburger and veggies on the grill and smoked the ingredients.
I must say this had to be the best idea I have came up with. I am not sure if I will ever make it the old way again. There was so much more flavor.
I mixed up my hamburger with my seasonings and I also added some Pico de gallo in with my meat, mixing everything together like a meatloaf.

I wonder who came up with the name “chicken tenders”? Hmm, perhaps it sounds more appealing than “the piece of meat we strip off the breast when we make cutlets.”
In any case, chicken tenders can be useful to have around, especially stored in the freezer for when you want a quick meal.

I first heard of This Casserole almost twenty years ago, back in the dining hall in my college dorm in Boulder, Colorado. This hearty casserole always made an appearance in the fall: a mélange of seemingly canned veggies with a cornbread topping.
It wasn’t always the most popular thing on the buffet table, but as a vegetarian it became my go-to, and I knew if it were made with better ingredients it could really be a home run.
